As a highlight of the 9th Festival, Halawet Raqsena presents a rich and artistic exploration of Egyptian culture.
We are honored to invite national-level Egyptian dance masters, members of Egypt’s National Folk Dance Troupe, and live musicians to Hong Kong to deliver authentic traditional Egyptian dance and music in its original form.
Far more than a visual showcase, this performance serves as an immersive cultural tour through movement. Through refined choreography and traditional rhythms, the masters and dancers will guide the audience through the rich historical and artistic heritage that Egypt has accumulated over thousands of years. Such a comprehensive display of traditional dance is exceptionally rare outside of Egypt, and we look forward to sharing this profound cultural journey with you through an artistic lens.

This programme is specially created for global CID UNESCO (International Dance Council) members, performing arts groups, and independent dancers. As an active CID member institution, we deeply share and embrace the CID vision—that dance is a universal language uniting humanity.
As part of this year’s festival, we have established this dedicated exchange platform to bring together CID members from around the world. Delegates will share their unique dance heritage with both peers and the public through a diverse range of formats—including stage showcases, workshops, academic presentations, and lecture-talks—fostering meaningful cross-cultural dialogue and artistic collaboration.

在本次舞蹈節中，我們特別設立此交流平台，邀請來自世界各地的會員齊聚一堂。參加者將透過舞台作品展演、工作坊、學術簡報與講座等多元形式，向大眾與同行展現各國獨特的舞蹈藝術，共同推動跨文化的學術對話與舞台藝術交流。

Featuring an esteemed judging team, including renowned international dance masters from Egypt, this competition provides a perfect opportunity for a cross-continental exchange of knowledge and technique within the mesmerizing realm of ancient movement. Furthermore, we have added a special category ‘Egyptian Inspired Dance’. We welcome dancers of all backgrounds to showcase their talents on this beautiful stage.
