The Dance of Joy (Halawet Raqsena) is a performance at the 8th HK International Egyptian Dance Festival. This year, we are proud to be partnering with the Consul General of Egypt in HK and the performance will take place at the HK Palace Museum.
At the ‘Dance of Joy, Halawet Raqsena Live, 眾樂之舞’ dance gala show, national masters of Egyptian dance and musicians and over 20 performers from around the world lead you on a mesmerizing tour of traditional, authentic Egyptian dance. With performances and music seldom experienced outside of Egypt, be prepared for an unforgettable evening.

- Solo presentation or performance: USD 100 (HKD 800)
- Group performances: USD 60 (HKD480) per performer

- Dance research presentation (power point, slide or video; maximum 15 mins)
- Performance (maximum 5 mins for solo, extra 1 min for each group participant)
* CID UNESCO events are for members, all participants will be nominated as CID UNESCO members.

Dance Nefertiti Egyptian Dance School invites professionals and ardent fans of Egypt’s captivating culture to join them for their International Egyptian Dance Competition. Featuring an esteemed judging team, including renowned international dance masters from Egypt, this competition provides a perfect opportunity for a cross-continental exchange of knowledge and technique within the mesmerizing realm of ancient movement.
All participants will receive:
- Certificate of Participation by Dance Nefertiti
- Egyptian dance jewellery
- 2 free tickets to the Competition day (valued at HK$200 each)
- 20% discount coupon for Costume Bazaar

- Deadline for submission of registration with confirmed payment is 31/10/2025 Hong Kong time.
- Please ensure that the entry information is correct.
- The number of entries is limited, on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Contestants who enter the Professional level will not be eligible to enter another level.
- The organisation reserves the right to change the competition date, time, venue and cancel the competition.
- Minimum number of entries in each group is 6, otherwise it will be combined with another group or canceled.
- In the event of cancellation, payment will be fully refunded.
